Go for the preview thing. You only have to say you are not interested. The problem may be the family of 6. They may not want you.
Otherwise go to priceline.com and orbitz.com and search for hotels (bid on priceline). There are plenty of resataurants around and you can always do fast food.

Do not get suckered into the Time Share presentation thing. They rarely give you the gifts they promise and they harrass you and push you with high pressure sales tactics that will leave you frustrated and angry.
It isn’t worth it at all.
Go directly to the source for discounts to Disney. Buy from the Disney website. They are offering huge savings on vacation packages because the economy is so bad. Stay on Disney property at one of their resorts and you’ll get several nights free and with multi day passes your daily admission costs drop significantly.

Discount tickets are only available for US military, FL residents and those attending conventions or other events booked at WDW. Your best bet is to book a package through WDW during one of the promotion specials. Currently they are running a buy 4 get 7 deal for the moderate and deluxe resort and a buy 5 get 7 for the value resorts. They also run free dining specials, but the time period to book the ones for this fall/early winter are over.

You can usually get discount disney tickets at Costco or AAA if you’re a member. As for cheap hotels, try Hotwire. They are often 60% cheaper than rack rate and even cheaper if you use an online coupon.

You can’t do this with your children(some presentations are HOURS long and believe me they are NOT worth it. Save up your $ until you can go without the sales pitch. Your kids don’t want to think they are going to WDW and spend their day there listening for hours to a sales pitch in a conference room. Steer clear of it.
