cheap orlando hotel w/ shuttle to parks & walking distance from attractions?

Im planning a trip to orlando during value season. (january 2010 probably 19-22) 4 day /3 nights WITHOUT A CAR. i’m looking for an affordable hotel or motel in the orlando area that offers SHUTTLE SERVICES to both parks and airport. Walking distance to City Walk or other attractions is a plus. Any ideas?

I don’t know if you’re planning on visiting Disney but if you are I would suggest just to stay at the value resorts like Disney’s All Star. Disney provides transportation to and from the airport when you stay there and you can go to all the parks Downtown Disney and the water parks. The transportation is no extra cost and it’s very convenient

Try I-Drive alot of hotels offer free shuttle to Universal Studios and that is where City walk is located at.

I recently stayed at the La Quinta I-Drive North and they have a free shuttle to Disney and Universal. City Walk is right down the street and there’s a shuttle that can take you there as well. They don’t have a shuttle to the airport but you can easily hop a bus to your hotel (since it’s right on International Drive) for about $2. I really liked the La Quinta. Rooms are very nice and come with free breakfast and free WiFi.

There’s also a really great air-conditioned trolley that runs up and down I-Drive. It’s only $1.25 each way or you can buy a day pass for $4. We used this quite a bit during our recent trip as part of the trip was for a cat show at the Convention Center. We were able to just walk across the street from our hotel and catch the trolley to both the show hall as well as the hotel that our banquet was at.

Not sure of what parks you are planning to attend but sounds like Universal. Check out Universal web site for special promotions. We got a great deal last April with there buy 3 get 2 free. Stayed on International Dr and the hotel provided shuttles to the parks. Unfortunately I could not find any hotels that provided shuttles to both the airport and the parks. But check out Happy Limousine (they have town cars too) or mears taxi. Oh by the way we stayed at Homewood Suites they also own Garden Inn. The Garden Inn had smaller rooms and was geared more to business and the Homewood Suites were larger rooms geared toward families.

Hi. I suggest the Travelodge on American Way just off the top of International Drive. Take a 2nd or 3rd floor room with a pool view. I’ve stayed here 3 times now and the staff are very helpful, the rooms and bathrooms are just right for a reasonable price, The pool is good and the location is good for Wet & Wild, Universal and if you want to use the local I-Drive bus service it’s real cheep cheep and frequent. The I-4 is only around the corner so getting to Daytona beach is so very easy. Go east on I-4 until you get to the I-94 or 95, then look for International Speedway Boulevarde and that takes you direct to the beach. park on the beach and have a wicked day of sun, sea, surf and great looking ****** and guys. It’s cool. If you want a good evening out, I suggest Wonder-worldld. You’ll notice it when you see it. It’s upside down !!!! There realy is so much to do, you wil not have enough time to do 1/2 of what you want to do. If you’re old enough to use a gun range, you’ll find 1 at the top of John Young Parkway, oppsite the county jail. Reasonable price, plenty of weapons to chose from.
Have fun and send me some pics when you get back.

I think that this is what you are looking for:

    Travelodge International Drive Hotel

This small, friendly resort lies just off International Drive, near Wet ‘n’ Wild. An array of attractions, restaurants and shops are to be found within walking distance. Complimentary transport is available to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando and Sea World.
